STP

Please note that the below information is an outline only for the academic year 2024/2025. Individual timetables with confirmed dates will be released to trainees once they have enrolled.

Each Healthcare Science trainee is assigned a Training Officer in the NHS who has overall responsibility for supervising them over the course of their training. Training Officers meet regularly with their trainee to ensure they are progressing through the programme. Sometimes a trainee will also have a Supervisor who will oversee individual rotations.

For further information about the role of the Training Officer or Supervisor, please visit the National School of Healthcare Science website.

Within the MAHSE partnership there are a number of PTP and STP programmes available. Please visit the ‘Our Programmes‘ section of the website for further details.

If you have a current STP trainee within the MAHSE partnership, we have sketched out below the main times of the year when they will be in Manchester completing the academic programme. The programme team will provide you with a teaching timetable at the start of each academic year. If you do not receive this then please contact the MAHSE Administration team
