Health Education England (HEE) and MAHSE recently held a review of the HSST programme and have issued a joint statement highlighting the successes and challenges faced in implementing HSST.

The National School of Healthcare Science has successfully recruited over 100 clinical scientists to the HSST programme and the statement notes future actions which will be taken to address challenges faced (see list of  Frequently Asked Questions, which contains useful information for HSST trainees and their trainers).

A series of HSST webinars are being held on the following topics.  Trainees and their trainers should already have received an email from the National School with instructions on how to log on to the webinars and a recording will be made available after each webinar at http://www.nshcs.org.uk/higher-specialist-scientific-training
